We moved blogs!

So... somehow the formatting on all my posts has been messed up, and after spending nearly 2 hours trying to fix it, I gave up. Come check out our new blog! I am sad to leave this blog- this has been Spencer and I's blog for nearly 2 1/2 years, but somehow the formatting and all that jazz has been screwed up. If anyone know how to help.... or to reset everything back to normal I would appreciate the help! So, for the time being, come see us over at "spencerandlanamoser.blogspot.com"

So.....Its been awhile

Too long in fact, but I became uninterested in blogging as I soon realized that maybe people really don't care about what Spencer and I are up to? Or maybe they do. Either way, I soon came to the conclusion that I like FaceBook allot. And I like it because it is so easy to upload pics, and call it good. But, Spencer and I have some very exciting things going on in our lives, so I have decided to embark on the blogging world. Again. Let's see how long this will last :)
First off- 2011 has been ah-mazing! Spencer and I have been in our house a YEAR on December 8th! It has flown by! We love having our own place and being able to have people over, walk around naked (sorry, too much info?), and be able to decorate the way we want. There are definitely things we miss about living in Stef and Joel's basement- but it is so nice to have our home home. Too bad we could keep the rent payment instead of a mortgage payment! HA!
For those that are friends of mine on FB, I am sure you already know. And I don't even know how many people even read this little ol' blog o mine, but figured this would be a good way to keep some sort of documentation of what exciting things are going on.
Spencer and I are expecting! Due May 2012! And to top things off, we are catching up to our friends and family really quick... WE ARE HAVING TWINS! We are so incredibly excited to embark on this journey- scared to death, but excited all the more.
With being pregnant with twins, there are many concerns that follow. I am now considered a "High-Risk" pregnancy, therefore I get to go to the doctors every other week for a check up and an ultrasound. The plus to all of that? We get to see the babies growing like crazy, and I cant begin to explain the comfort of knowing that if something bad is happening- they will be able to catch it pretty quick.
The twins are identical! They are 99.9% sure of this- at first our Dr thought that they were in the same sack- which scared us because of the risks of them sharing a sack are ridiculously high. We were told that most likely they would deliver the babies between 30 and 32 weeks- they do this because when sharing a sack, the babies become extremely cramped and the chances of each others umbilical cords wrapping around either their or each others necks are extremely high. This caused allot of stress and I became a hysterical mess.
After being bumped from my midwife, to a OB, to a high risk OBGYN, and then finally my care being transferred to a Perinatologist, we actually found out out that the babes are in separate sacks! This was huge for us to hear. We also found out that they are sharing a placenta (which makes them identical), so with that news came other concerns. After finding a doctor that Spencer and I LOVE, we feel really comfortable with the care that the babies and I are receiving. They are watching me really close for "twin-to-twin transfusion" or TTTS, which in layman terms means that while they are sharing a placenta, they in turn are sharing nutrients. They pass back and forth blood and nutrients, and while one baby can take all the nutrients, one baby can become extremely malnourished and undeveloped. So, in I go to ultrasounds every other week, where they will watch the kiddos like crazy, measure their bladders, and make sure each baby is getting what they need. I feel very blessed to be 1) having an amazing Dr at the University of Utah and 2) giving birth in the year 2012. Science is amazing and technology is incredible!
We went in two weeks ago to find out what the babies are, but even though I was at nearly 16 weeks, the babies were only measuring at just over 13 weeks. They are a little smaller than what they should be at this time, but our Dr reassures us that this is normal in a twin pregnancy. We go back in on Wednesday, the 21st, and hopefully we will be able to know the gender. The anticipation is killing me! I just want to get my craft/shop on! Updates soon :)
I'll leave you with some cute pics of the little "Mosers to be"- these were taken two weeks ago. I hope to scan and upload all the pics- its amazing to watch them grow like crazy.
